Out-of-School Time Polokalama
Out-of-school time (OST) programs, funded by state and federal resources, are designed to provide high-quality learning experiences that extend beyond the regular school day and exposes students to experiences and opportunities not found during the regular school day. These programs are essential in enhancing student outcomes by linking academic learning with OST activities, positively impacting behavior, attendance, and academic performance.
With consistent attendance, students benefit from academic support and opportunities to develop social-emotional skills. OST programs in HIDOE are administered by the Lala Fa'alapotopotoga.
