世界の言語 – ハワイの言語学習のための世界準備基準
ワールド・ランゲージズ・プログラムは、ハワイの幼稚園から高校までの公立学校で、英語以外の言語と、その言語が表す文化の教育と学習に重点を置いています。このプログラムのビジョンは、すべての生徒が少なくとも2つの言語でコミュニケーションを図り、文化的能力を身につけることです。
世界言語プログラムでは、アメリカ手話、フランス語、ドイツ語、イロカノ語、日本語、韓国語、ラテン語、標準中国語、サモア語、スペイン語、タガログ語などの言語を小中学校で教えています。提供される言語は学校によって異なり、学校のリソース、生徒や地域社会の関心に基づいています。
