5. 收到开始工作通知。

要求

1. Substitute Teacher 认证

Not required for those who have completed a State-Approved 老师 Education Program (SATEP).

Required for those with a bachelor’s degree but no teacher training (must complete a certification program with a passing score of 80% or higher).

Substitute teacher certifications are valid for five years and must be renewed to continue employment. Certifications may be obtained using one of the following programs:

• The Department’s Community School for Adults (CSA)

• Substitute Teaching Division Subskills
• The Master 老师: Substitute Teacher Online Training
• 夏威夷大学马诺阿分校 (UHM)、教育学院 (COE)

3. 结核病（TB）检测合格

需要提供申请日期前一年内有效的结核病检测合格证明。

重要的： 所有提交的文件将成为该部门的财产，不会退还。

工资和福利

Substitute teachers are paid a daily rate based on their qualifications. They are not eligible for the Employees’ Retirement System but may participate in a 403(b) 税收保护年金 (TSA) 计划.工资须缴纳社会保障税和医疗保险税。

Substitute teachers who meet any one or all of the following:

• A Hawaiʻi-licensed teacher;

Substitute teachers who possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent (see above).
