SU'E LOU STOP PAS

Taofi pasi & Su'e Fa'atonu

The Student Transportation Services Branch utilizes Fa'amatalaga i–a school bus stop locator information system connected to the Department’s routing system. This website helps locate the closest school bus stop to your home address and estimated morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off times for all participating schools statewide.

Bus stop information will populate based on the following criteria:

  • Selected school participates in the Department’s school bus service program
  • Home address meets the transportation qualification requirement for your school type:
    • Elementary School (grades K-5): One (1) mile or more from your home address to the closest, accessible area to the school
    • Middle/Intermediate and High School (grades 6-12): One and a half (1.5) miles or more from your home address to the closest, accessible area to the school

Service Recommendations

The Department recommends students should arrive at their designated bus stop at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled pickup or drop-off time. Please note that delays may occasionally occur due to traffic, weather conditions, or staffing issues. If your bus is delayed, we recommend contacting your school’s assigned bus contractor for the most up-to-date information.

For the safety of students 10 years old and younger, the Department strongly recommends that a responsible adult be present at the bus stop during both pickup and drop-off times. Please note that bus drivers are not responsible for verifying or matching students with specific adults at the stop.

It is the parent’s or guardian’s responsibility to ensure appropriate supervision or make other arrangements if the student is not able to walk to or from the bus stop independently.

Regular school bus service is limited to transportation to and from your student’s home address on record and school. Department-contracted school buses do not travel on private property or on private roads. This includes, but is not limited to, private developments, apartment complexes, business parking or driveway areas.

If a student does not meet the transportation eligibility requirements, exceptions may be made on a space available basis. This is not a guarantee. Parents and/or guardians shall submit the Request to Ride the School Bus on a Space Available Basis (Form CS-101) in conjunction with a completed school bus application. Both forms shall be submitted on a quarterly basis, in line with the provided application periods for school year 2025-2026.

These requests shall be reviewed once the quarterly application period has closed to ensure all eligible riders have been considered. If seats are still available, these requests shall be reviewed by the school first, then submitted to the district transportation office for final approval.

Until both the CS-101 and bus application have been approved and paid for, parents and/or guardians shall make alternative transportation arrangements.
