The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education will offer a wide range of summer learning opportunities this year to support students across all grade levels, with programs focused on academics, enrichment, transitions and college and career readiness.

More than 150 public schools statewide will offer summer programming designed to meet the unique needs of their school communities. Opportunities include academic remediation, credit recovery, targeted intervention, acceleration courses and transition programs that help students prepare for the next stage of learning — from kindergarten through high school and beyond.

Summer learning programs may also include enrichment activities such as arts, culture, leadership and athletic camps.

The programs are part of HIDOE’s broader efforts to support student achievement and provide engaging learning opportunities beyond the traditional school year.

Tuition for HIDOE students attending Department schools is covered. Charter school, private school and home-schooled students may participate at select sites but will be charged tuition.

Registration and program details vary by school. Priority may be given to currently enrolled students at participating campuses. Families are encouraged to contact their school directly for the most up-to-date information about available opportunities, schedules and eligibility requirements.

Some schools may also offer kindergarten transition programs for incoming students by invitation.

Participating schools are listed below by island and complex area.
