Our School Food Services Branch aims to provide healthy and nutritious meals for all students. Healthy and nutritious school meals play a crucial role in fostering your child’s physical health, academic performance and overall well-being.

By adhering to dietary guidelines, our school meal programs ensure your child receives adequate vitamins and minerals while limiting added sugars, unhealthy fats and excess sodium through balanced portions of essential nutrients, including:

  • Grains with more than 50% whole grain ingredients. 
  • Several daily options of fruits and vegetables, including 100% fruit and vegetable juice.
  • Lean protein choices.
  • Increased fiber from whole grain products and legumes.
  • Reduced-sodium foods.
  • Low-fat and fat-free dairy options such as low-fat and fat-free milk.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
