科學評估

期末考
課程結束（EOC）考試評估學生對特定課程內容標準的熟練程度，有助於指導教學，並標準化代數 I、代數 II、生物 I 和美國歷史的期望。這些考試在課程的最後三週內在線上進行，學生在此期間可以參加一次考試（根據具體情況可以允許第二次嘗試）。
其中，只有生物學 I 考試是必修的。它根據下一代科學標準評估學生的熟練程度，並且是所有參加生物學 I 課程的學生的必修課，也是夏威夷根據聯邦《每個學生成功法案》（ESSA）進行的全州評估的一部分。代數 I、代數 II 和美國歷史的 EOC 考試是可選的，美國歷史 EOC 可能會根據教育工作者的回饋而改變。

AlternatE Assessment (HSA-Alt)

The ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS for ELLs
The The ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 is an English language proficiency assessment administered to all English learners in Grades K-12 to monitor students’ progress and proficiency in acquiring academic English. All schools began administering the assessments online in the 2017-18 school year.

國家教育進展評估（NAEP）

The national results are among the multiple measures that the HIDOE uses to gauge the progress of students and public schools. Hawaiʻi’s improvement over time on the NAEP has been nationally recognized as one of the highest in the country. Among 50 states and D.C., a review of Hawaiʻi’s performance on the NAEP for 2022 from 2003 shows:
- Grade 4 reading: Hawaiʻi’s average scale score went to No. 9 from being No. 46 in the nation.
- Grade 8 reading: Hawaiʻi improved to No. 25 from No. 50.
- Grade 4 math: Hawaiʻi improved to No. 18 from No. 46 in the country.
- Grade 8 math: Hawaiʻi improved to No. 36 from No. 46.

For SY 2025-2026, a sample of Hawaiʻi schools will be selected to participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) 2026 program. Participation in the NAEP 2026 grade 4 and grade 8 mathematics and reading assessments is required for all schools selected. The assessments will be administered using either the school’s devices or NAEP-provided devices (if a school is unable to administer the assessment using their own devices).
Grade 8 Civics and U.S. History assessment will be administered in 2026. A national sample of schools will be selected, therefore, only a small number of Hawaiʻi schools will be selected to participate. Participation in the grade 8 Civics and U.S. History assessment is optional. While participation is encouraged, the school principal may choose to decline the invitation to participate if selected.
