Several Hawaiʻi public schools along Oʻahu’s North Shore and Windward area are closed on Friday, March 20, due to heavy rains and flooding impacting the area.

Public schools statewide are on spring break this week so students and teachers are not scheduled to be on campus. 

The following schools are closed:

• Elementarya ng Haleʻiwa
• Elementarya ng Hauʻula
• Ka‘a‘awa Elementary
• Elementarya ng Lāʻie
• Elementarya ng Sunset Beach 
• Elementarya ng Waiāhole
• Elementarya ng Waialua
• Waialua High & Intermediate 
• Waimānalo Elementary at Intermediate
