Strive HI Performance System
Our school accountability and performance system tracks important factors like student achievement, growth, how well high-needs students are doing compared to their peers, attendance, and graduation rates. Due to privacy laws and regulations, reports for schools with very small student populations are suppressed. Learn more about our Strive HI Performance System.
School Status & Improvement
The School Status & Improvement Report (SSIR) addresses standard-based education reporting requirements in §302A-1004, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes. We prepare an individual SSIR for each school annually, each containing:
- A description of the school and its setting.
- A summary of school improvement progress.
- Available resources.
- Vital signs on school performance.

Accountability resource center hawaiʻi (arch)
The Accountability Resource Center Hawaiʻi (ARCH) database provides a wide array of school, complex area and state accountability reports. Majority of these reports satisfy federal and state requirements, and keep the general public informed on school performance and progress.
Title i
Title I is the federal education program that provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. As part of its Title I requirement, states produce a plan for equitable access to excellent educators.
The Department’s list of Title I schools is reported as schools that have a minimum poverty threshold of 47.2%. Poverty is determined via family enrollment in two federal programs — Community Eligibility Provision and the Free & Reduced Lunch Program — during the prior school year.
