HIDOE is modernizing our PreK-12 Computer Science Standards to ensure all students are ready for a world powered by computing. The 2026 update reflects current research and integrates critical fields like AI, Cybersecurity and Data Science.

These standards focus on creativity, ethics and human-centered design to help students build essential “habits of mind” like persistence and curiosity.

We need your community voice! Please share your feedback on these proposed changes before they are presented to the Board of Education in the Fall 2026.
