As always, you can continue to contribute to the conversation online via the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hiqualityed.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Strategic Plan blog<\/a> and on social media <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23HIqualityed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">#HI\u54c1\u8cea\u6559\u80b2<\/a> (Twitter\/X).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ESSA Team town hall meetings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Governor\u2019s ESSA Team is hosting town halls to discuss opportunities for schools under the Every Student Succeeds Act, with the purpose of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>creating a shared vision for public education in Hawai\u2019i,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>learning about the opportunities provided by the new ESSA law,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>discussing a future-focused education system for Hawai\u2019i, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>collecting input, feedback, and advice for a new blueprint for public education in Hawai\u2019i.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Feedback collected by the ESSA Team will also be used in crafting a final update to the Strategic Plan, which will be presented to the BOE in December.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One in a series of email updates on the Strategic Plan review and extension process.
