Girls flag football season officially begins tonight in the O\u02bbahu Interscholastic Association with 12 games scheduled at six campus sites. In its inaugural season, Walthall is playing with girls she first met a month ago when practices commenced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u300c\u8a8d\u8b58\u5176\u4ed6\u4eba\u3001\u7d50\u8b58\u65b0\u670b\u53cb\u4e26\u5617\u8a66\u8207\u4ed6\u5011\u5efa\u7acb\u806f\u7e6b\u5f88\u6709\u8da3\uff0c\u300d\u540c\u6a23\u6253\u7c43\u7403\u7684\u6c83\u723e\u7d22\u723e\u8aaa\u3002 \u201c\u9019\u662f\u4e00\u6b21\u6709\u8da3\u7684\u7d93\u6b77\u3002\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

League play is underway in the Big Island Interscholastic Federation, Kaua\u02bbi Interscholastic Federation and Maui Interscholastic League. OIA action continues this Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the first new sport for high school girls in over 20 years. Hawai\u02bbi is the 12th state in the country to sanction girls flag football as a high school sport. There are 46 Hawai\u02bbi public and charter schools statewide, along with some private schools, fielding a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
