For more information on registering for the school bus, please see the<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/hawaiipublicschools.org\/vi\/school-services\/eligibility-applying\/\"><strong><em> \u0110i\u1ec1u ki\u1ec7n v\u00e0 c\u00e1ch n\u1ed9p \u0111\u01a1n <\/em><\/strong><\/a><em>page**<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If no bus stop locations are listed for your school, please contact your school office or email <strong><a href=\"mailto:stsb@k12.hi.us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stsb@k12.hi.us<\/a><\/strong> \u0111\u1ec3 \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c h\u1ed7 tr\u1ee3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Service Recommendations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department recommends students should arrive at their designated bus stop at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled pickup or drop-off time. Please note that delays may occasionally occur due to traffic, weather conditions, or staffing issues. If your bus is delayed, we recommend contacting your school\u2019s assigned bus contractor for the most up-to-date information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the safety of students 10 years old and younger, the Department strongly recommends that a responsible adult be present at the bus stop during both pickup and drop-off times. Please note that bus drivers are not responsible for verifying or matching students with specific adults at the stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the parent\u2019s or guardian\u2019s responsibility to ensure appropriate supervision or make other arrangements if the student is not able to walk to or from the bus stop independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gi\u1edbi h\u1ea1n d\u1ecbch v\u1ee5<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Regular school bus service is limited to transportation to and from your student\u2019s home address on record and school. Department-contracted school buses do not travel on private property or on private roads. This is not a guarantee. Parents and\/or guardians shall submit the Request to Ride the School Bus on a Space Available Basis (Form CS-101) in conjunction with a completed school bus application. Both forms shall be submitted on a quarterly basis, in line with the provided application periods for school year 2025-2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These requests shall be reviewed once the quarterly application period has closed to ensure all eligible riders have been considered. If seats are still available, these requests shall be reviewed by the school first, then submitted to the district transportation office for final approval.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until both the CS-101 and bus application have been approved and paid for, parents and\/or guardians shall make alternative transportation arrangements.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Connecting Neighborhoods to Schools for Safe, Efficient Access to Education.
