With the latest cohort of newly certified teachers, there are now 569 in Hawai\u2018i who hold this designation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A luncheon and ceremony was held at the Honolulu Country Club on April 11 to recognize the board-certified teachers. The event was sponsored by the Hawai\u2018i State Department of Education (HIDOE), Hawai\u2018i Education Association (HEA), Hawai\u2019i State Teachers Association (HSTA), Hawai\u2018i NBCTs Collective and the Hawai\u2018i Teacher Standards Board.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ina ia maua pe taofi lenei tusipasi, e tatau i faiaoga ona fa\u02bbafou i ta\u02bbiala fou ma faiga sili ona lelei i a\u02bboa\u02bboga. O se faiga faigata e mafai ona ave i so\u02bbo se mea mai le tasi i le tolu tausaga ma e aofia ai tagata talosaga e tu\u02bbuina atu se faila atoatoa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAchieving National Board Certification is a testament to a teacher\u2019s dedication to professional excellence and lifelong learning,\u201d&nbsp; HIDOE Superintendent Keith Hayashi said. \u201cThese educators aren\u2019t just improving their own practice \u2014 they\u2019re strengthening their schools, supporting their colleagues, and ultimately creating better outcomes for students.
