From \u201cwhole child\u201d education with relevant, hands-on, and rigorous learning, to collaborating with charter schools to learn from their innovations and strengths \u2014 stay tuned for the full community input report in mid-August!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we revisit our strategies and approaches, we want to learn from, support and expand the bright spots that many of you are creating. We\u2019re inspired by how people are coming together in creative, innovative ways around our students, and want to make sure all students \u2014 especially our most vulnerable ones \u2014 are benefiting from these types of collaborations to prepare them for life after school. (<em>Pictured: Student leaders from the annual Hawaii State Student Council leadership conference on June 25-27 were enthusiastic participants in our #HIQualityEd photo booth.<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>The strategies, resources, and innovations that best support student success:<\/strong><\/em> This is the focus of our Strategic Plan conversations at two upcoming events:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Governor Ige\u2019s Hawaii Education Summit on July 9: We\u2019re doing a breakout session on the Strategic Plan at this special conference, which is open to registered members of the public (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/hawaii-education-summit-2016-tickets-25730996102\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reg\u00edstrate aqu\u00ed<\/a>), and look for the #HIQualityEd photo booth there;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The annual HIDOE Educational Leadership Institute on July 15, the annual gathering of school, district and state educational leaders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to continuing the conversation with you!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One in a series of email updates on the Strategic Plan review and extension process.
