{"id":10032,"date":"2023-06-07T13:52:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-07T23:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hawaiipublicschools.org\/?p=10032"},"modified":"2025-03-24T13:54:48","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T23:54:48","slug":"2023-summer-food-service-program-to-provide-meals-for-children-at-115-community-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hawaiipublicschools.org\/es\/2023-summer-food-service-program-to-provide-meals-for-children-at-115-community-sites\/","title":{"rendered":"Programa de Servicio de Alimentos de Verano proporcionar\u00e1 comidas a ni\u00f1os en 115 sitios comunitarios"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) will be serving&nbsp;meals to children&nbsp;ages 18 and younger&nbsp;at 115 community sites across the islands in partnership with sponsor organizations during the summer&nbsp;months.&nbsp;These sites will bolster efforts by the&nbsp;Hawai\u02bbi State Department of Education which is currently&nbsp;serving&nbsp;meals free of charge to keiki 18 and younger&nbsp;at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hawaiipublicschools.org\/es\/2023-86-public-schools-to-offer-summer-meals-to-children-ages-18-and-younger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">86&nbsp;school locations<\/a>&nbsp;on Kaua\u02bbi, O\u02bbahu, Molokai, Maui and the Big Island through its Seamless Summer Option (SSO)&nbsp;program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the SFSP and the SSO programs provide&nbsp;nutritious meals that help children to learn, play, and grow during the summer break when many schools are not in session.
